Diversity, be it natural or harmonized by man, is the nature of a healthy and beautiful garden. In our landscapes, a large and varied plant palette will make your garden visually exciting, ecologically strong, and attractive to birds and butterflies. We use many native plants, especially in transition areas and ecologically sensitive areas. We can help get projects through the legal requirements of town Planning Boards and Conservation Commissions as we design things that fit into the environment and are what the commission is looking for.

In areas that are not required to have all native plantings, we do use plants from other regions that offer diversity in visual beauty, food crop productivity, herbs and fragrance. We are careful not to use any invasive plants or ones that would be out of character with the landscape. We use as many plants that offer benefits directly useful to people: vegetables, fruit, flower, fiber and or hobby and building supplies. This makes your landscape more fun, interactive, beautiful, and saves you money.. Beside these benefits, it makes sound ecological sense to be locally productive and help reduce the need for so much long distance product and food transportation. We can turn our problems around one back yard at a time!
