“The Ultimate Goal”

When a system’s design utilizes each resource to the fullest, no waste is produced. Our landscape designs and our maintenance techniques are based on ecological solutions and natural systems that have the best chance of developing a productive garden where all parts aid each other. This makes the systems sustainable. Productivity drives the system, not problems. Storm water in a well designed system, easily infiltrates into the ground to replenish moisture needs, and underground storage aquifers. In a broken system, storm water cannot permeate the surface, and causes erosion issues. We create systems that use the available water, enhance the soil permeability and fertility, and feed into natures systems. Our goal is to gradually reduce the amount of human labor needed as natures systems function increasingly more efficiently. Think of our most productive natural system: hardwood forests – they need no human maintenance!
